What to Expect?

Plan ahead...

During your photo session, I take my time! What does that mean to you? With younger children and infants, a photo session will often take longer than older children and adults who can easily follow instructions. I am always willing to take the extra time needed to capture those moments that you will treasure, especially when your little ones need to take a break, either to feed or play to improve their mood.

A more relaxed photo session.

I know that a more relaxed session is important so everyone can enjoy themselves. I plan to capture both posed and also candid shots, so everyone can spend time just being themselves. Often these candid shots make the most memorable photos. Breaks to recharge are expected and encouraged and help to produce the best sessions.

What to bring/wear?

For photos with a newborn, plain black or white tops are best for mom and dad, since the infant is the star!

For children and adults, avoid logos or clothing that may be too ‘busy’. A splash of color is better. Try to avoid matching outfits. Instead find clothes that compliment each other.

Clothing Suggestions for better pictures

I have a selection of props, but feel free to bring what you think might be appropriate. Headbands, hats, scarves, jewelry and jackets along with some favorite toys are welcome.

MUA & Hair Stylist is available upon request for an additional fee.

After Your Session:

Time permitting, within 1-2 days from your session, I will upload a few 'sneak peek' photos to my Facebook and/or Instagram page “Absolutely Nanda”. Please make sure to follow us on Facebook & Instagram.

Please tag yourself in the images and feel free to use as profile pictures. Please leave the logo on the picture intact and also make a note of my website: www.absolutelynanda.com when sharing or posting on social media sites. 

Please be sure to not edit or crop any images when posting them on Facebook or using as your profile picture. 

Ordering:

Typically, in 1-3 weeks after your session, we will email you the link/password to your online gallery.

Please share it with your friends and family who may want see and/or purchase your images.

From the time you place your order, you can expect most printed materials to arrive within 2-4 weeks.

From your online gallery, you can share photo’s with friends and select included digital images/prints or order additional digital images/prints. Your personal gallery will be available for one month. Be sure to place your order before your gallery expires.

A $30 fee will be assessed to re-open your gallery.

Please review all pricing and policies prior to booking your session.

All session fees and down payments for packages are non-refundable.

Please be arrive 10 minutes prior to your session time.

Photographing or video recording during your session is not allowed.

A 24 hour notice by phone, email or text is needed to reschedule a session. Failure to give this notice will result in forfeiture of the session fee.

Absolutely Nanda does not require you to purchase additional prints, but if you desire additional prints, there is a $400 minimum purchase required.

Travel charges may apply depending on the location you select for your session to take place. No additional charges within up to 30 minutes from my studio. (does not apply to mini sessions) Fee per mile is $1 from zip code 12538 (from my studio to your chosen location and back) all over the Hudson Valley, NY.

Travel fees to NYC, CT & NJ begins at $100.

All travel fees must be paid in cash on the day of your session.

There are no travel charges for selected locations such as the FDR, Vanderbilt Mansion, Mill’s Mansion or the Locust Grove. 

Each additional Participant, people/pets, is $40.

You do have the rights to print your session images at home or at a professional print lab. Absolutely Nanda recommends your images to be printed at mpix.com.

Portrait session images may not be reproduced, altered, cropped or published without permission.

No alteration of images is allowed. Copyright infringement is unlawful.

Absolutely Nanda reserves the right to use your images for advertising, display, publish or other purposes unless you specify otherwise ahead of time.
